Accessibility statement
We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 level AA across this site. In practice that means readable type sizes, colour contrast that holds up on a phone in daylight, keyboard navigation for every interactive element, descriptive alternative text on photographs, and headings that follow a logical order.
Accessibility also shapes the advice itself. Tell us about mobility needs, step free requirements or sensory considerations in your trip brief, and we will factor them into the destinations and accommodation we suggest rather than treating them as an afterthought.
If any part of this site is hard to use, tell us what happened and which device you were using. We treat accessibility reports as priority fixes.
Responsible travel
Travel has a cost beyond the ticket price. We cannot remove it, but the advice we give can reduce it.
- Fewer, longer trips instead of many short flights, where your schedule allows it.
- Direct routes and trains over connections when the time difference is small.
- Shoulder season travel, which spreads visitors and is usually a better experience anyway.
- One base per trip rather than three, which cuts transfers and helps local businesses more.
- Locally owned accommodation and restaurants, especially away from the main square.
We will also tell you when a destination is under strain at a particular time of year and suggest an alternative that works better for you and for the place.
