Information we collect

We collect only the information needed to answer you and to improve the site. That falls into three groups.

• Information you give us: name, email, phone number where provided, and the details of your travel enquiry.
• Information collected automatically: pages visited, approximate location derived from your IP address, browser and device type.
• Communication records: the messages you send us and our replies, kept so that we have context if you write again.

How we use it

We use your information to respond to enquiries, prepare destination recommendations, send the newsletter where you have asked for it, and to understand which parts of the site are useful.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers.

Legal basis

Where the law requires a legal basis, we rely on your consent for marketing messages, on the performance of a contract or steps taken at your request for travel enquiries, and on our legitimate interest in running and improving the site for basic analytics.

Sharing with third parties

We share information with service providers only where it is needed to deliver what you asked for: for example an airline, accommodation provider or operator involved in your trip, an email delivery provider, or our hosting and analytics providers.

We may also disclose information where we are legally required to do so.

Retention

Enquiry records are kept for up to three years so we can help with follow up trips. Newsletter records are kept until you unsubscribe. Analytics data is retained in aggregated form.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of the personal information we hold, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to how we use it. Write to us and we will respond within thirty days.

Security

Information is transmitted over encrypted connections and access within our team is limited to the people who need it. No system is perfect, so we ask that you avoid sending payment card details or passport scans by email.

Children

The site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under sixteen. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal information we will update this page and the date above. Material changes will be highlighted on the site.
